Envision EMI and LeadAmerica Merge to Offer Students Leadership, Career and Scholarship Development New Envision Experience programs provide skills and experience students need to succeed in college and careers October 01, 2013 09:00 AM Eastern Daylight Time WASHINGTON--( BUSINESS WIRE )--Envision EMI and LeadAmerica, two of America’s leading experiential education organizations, have joined forces under the “Envision” brand to offer today’s students the skills and experience they must have for college and career success in the 21st century. With the merger, Envision becomes a leading provider of programs to help motivated students of all ages gain experience and skills beyond the classroom. Students, parents and educators can learn about the new “Envision Experience” at www.envisionexperience.com/experience . Learn more about Envision programs and explore career interests at the new website, www.envisionexperience.com . Envision now offers introductory, advanced and international programs to build leadership and career skills, and provide experiences demanded by today’s top colleges and employers. The programs are organized sequentially to provide skills and experiences for elementary school, middle school, high school and college students. “Students – with help from their parents and teachers – work hard to be academically successful. But there’s more work to be done, especially in a globally competitive world,” said John Richards, Envision CEO. “Being prepared today means more than getting into college. It means having focus on what you’ll do when you get to campus, and it means having an established road map to success when you graduate.” Envision programs include domestic and global leadership forums and a soon-to-be-announced Explore STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) exploration conference, as well as 15 programs devoted to hands-on career immersion experiences in medicine and health care, engineering, law, business, national security, crime scene investigation, digital media and other professions. Experiences are held at partner campuses in cities across the United States and throughout the world, including Babson College, the New York Film Academy, Stanford Law School and the University of California San Francisco. Envision students learn from leading experts and explore potential careers firsthand. Simulated exercises that mirror real-world challenges encourage students to put their knowledge to the test. Scholars who complete Envision programs for high school students have the ability to earn college credit from George Mason University or Loras College. The redesigned Envision website ( www.envisionexperience.com ) provides a home for all programs and serves as a hub for students, parents, teachers and Envision alumni. The site includes an easy-to-use program finder that allows students and parents to search by program type, location and grade level. An Envision blog community shares information about many topics, including current education issues, program updates, academic deadlines, student development tips and college news. “Today’s students must be comfortable as creators, innovators and meaningful contributors to society,” Richards said. “By becoming part of the Envision experience, students go well beyond the classroom, immediately aligning their academic achievements with college and career goals. Even more, they get the edge they need to stand out. They turn aptitude into action – for themselves and for others.” About Envision Envision is a leading experiential education organization dedicated to enabling students of all ages to explore their interests and gain learning experiences beyond the classroom.
