Reustle-Prayer Rock Vineyards Adopts Inuru’s Oled Label Technology

Sep 20, 2021

Reustle-Prayer Rock Vineyards Adopts Inuru’s Oled Label Technology By Advertisement September 20th – Reustle-Prayer Rock Vineyards 2019 Tempranillo Deux Barrique and 2020 Best Barrel bottles are adorned with interactive labels from Inuru. These interactive labels will illuminate the designation of “Deux Barrique” or “Best Barrel” when the consumer activates the label. According to Inuru’s Lead of Development in the United States, Haydn Maley, “This product is special because it is the first printed, flexible, organic, recyclable OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode). It is also the first to be cost-efficient enough to use in packaging. It allows consumers a brand new experience to interact with the packaging and for brands to have product differentiation.” Reustle-Prayer Rock Vineyards Owner/Winemaker, Stephen M. Reustle was excited to unveil these new labels. He explained, “A short while ago we were introduced to a new use of OLED technology… a flexible interactive wine bottle label! These labels light up a message when touched in a specific spot on the label. This amazing technology comes from a company called Inuru, based in Berlin, Germany.” Reustle-Prayer Rock Vineyards and Inuru became involved together in this project through Haydn Mayley. Haydn was born and raised in Roseburg, Oregon, where Reustle-Prayer Rock Vineyards is headquartered. While growing up in Roseburg, Haydn’s family enjoyed Reustle-Prayer Rock Vineyards wine as wine club members. After high school, Haydn’s journey to Inuru began through a college internship facilitated by a mentor while he was attending Stanford University. So, when the opportunity arose to showcase this new technology, Haydn remembered Reustle-Prayer Rock Vineyards and their award-winning wines and thought they would be a perfect fit to unveil this technology. Three time Winery of the Year recipient, (Dan Berger International Wine Competition’s 2020 Small Winery of the Year, Winepress NW’s 2017 Pacific Northwest Winery of the Year, and Riverside International Wine Competition’s 2010 Small Winery of the Year) as well as 2015 Six Nations Wine Challenge Top Syrah producer, and Riverside International Wine Competition’s 2015 Terroir Award Recipient, Reustle-Prayer Rock Vineyards is 100% estate grown and produced from 40 acres of steep, hillside vineyards in Southern Oregon’s Umpqua Valley. Family owned and operated since 2001, Reustle – Prayer Rock Vineyards produces approximately 7,500 cases annually. Advertisement
