Fresh Cuts: What’s new for the week to 26 May?

May 25, 2023

26th May 2023 By Staff Reporter | news@foodticker.co.nz | @foodtickernz Nostalgia is the flavour of the week, with Nestlé’s new KitKat innovation and Westgold building out its infused butter range, while Angel Bay collabs on a new limited edition. Nestlé’s new KitKat Milkybar Nestlé continues to push the KitKat innovation this time collaborating with iconic Milkybar to launch a new flavour full of nostalgia. The KitKat crisp wafer finger has been covered in real milk goodness, available in three formats; bar, block and share pack – to cover the sharing and on-the-go occasion. KitKat Milkybar will be available in supermarkets, petrol stations and convenience stores around the country from May in three sizes: KitKat Milkybar bar at 45g for RRP$1.90, KitKat Milkybar block at 160g with RRP$4.00, and KitKat Milkybar sharepack at 154g for RRP$5.50. Westgold Cinnamon Sugar Butter West Coast dairy brand Westgold has added to its flavoured butter range, once again going for sweet nostalgia. The Cinnamon Sugar Butter has been released given the appetite for comfort food in the winter months ahead, according to the company, and harking back to memories of cinnamon and sugar on toast. It is the latest in the company’s continued development of new infused butter flavours, following its debut with Garlic & Parsley and Chilli & Garlic, in 100g sticks in November last year. The 100g block is available at Countdown with an RRP of $3.20. Angel Bay’s Limited-Edition Smoky, Tangy & Cheesy Beef Burgers Departing from the nostalgia trend, Angel Bay has also been busy on innovation in collaboration with chef Mark Southon. The consumer brand owned by ANZCO Foods has released the Limited-Edition Smoky, Tangy & Cheesy Beef Burgers. Available exclusively, for a limited time, at New World, Pak’nSave or Four Square nationwide from $14.09.
