Tributes have been paid to Laura Dyson who passed away aged 50 from cancer (Image: Rebecca Dyson) Tributes have been paid to a "loving, caring and amazing" mum and grandma who passed away at the age of 50 after a long battle with cancer. Laura Dyson passed away on May 9, five years after she was first diagnosed with breast cancer. Cancer then spread to her lung and windpipe. When she broke her ankle it exacerbated her health problems as she wasn't able to be treated which in turn lead to infections. Laura Dyson passed away aged just 50. Credit: Sophia Dyson (Image: Sophia Dyson) She then started having migraines and collapsing at home, something doctors later discovered was caused by seven brain tumours. Within a few weeks, she had lost her memory and passed away a week later. She was much loved by her two daughters, Rebecca and Sophia, her grandchildren Eden, nine months, and Kenzo, two months, and her lifelong childhood friend, Sue, who stayed by her side throughout hospital visits. "Always very bubbly and had a very good sense of humour, always putting others before herself. "She was a single mum to two children and she brought us up on her own, and she was just the most loving, caring, amazing and wonderful mum." A fundraiser has been started by the two sisters to help pay for a funeral and to give their mum the best send-off possible. Sophia continued: "The reaction has been amazing and truly touching. "It has just really shocked us and we are really grateful to everyone who has helped with everything. "We will always remember her."
