A self-charging battery. I have designed a microscopic heat engine that will be built using MEMS construction. By rectifying Brownian Motion, the engine derives power from the kinetic energy of the moving molecules in gases or fluids. Detailed computer simulations show this device can be used to generate power at a wide range of temperatures (-40C - 60C). With many of these engines combined, I want to produce a rechargeable battery that is self-charging.
