Cyberpunk 2077: Where to Find The Thermal Katana

Sep 26, 2023

Published 10 minutes ago The Errata Thermal Katana is one of the cool new weapons available in Cyberpunk 2077's 2.0 update. Here's where to find it. The massive 2.0 update for Cyberpunk 2077 brought with it some new weapons on top of a gigantic list of changes and improvements to the game's core systems. These weapons mesh exceptionally well with the reworked AI and combat mechanics, and any aspiring cyber samurai out there have a particularly fancy new toy to play with. Somewhere in Night City, players can obtain the Thermal Katana called the Errata, the same one that CD Projekt Red showed off in the Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty gameplay trailer. It's an excellent addition to any merc's arsenal, and it can serve as the centerpiece to any katana build that needs a hard-hitting weapon. Here's how to get it. Where to Find the Thermal Katana in Cyberpunk 2077 Your browser does not support the video tag. The Errata is a unique katana that can be found in Arroyo in the Santo Domingo district. It's built for rapid slashing with a particular focus on inflicting burn and dealing critical damage. To get this sword, follow these steps: Fast travel to the Republic East service point Head north to the Electric Corporation building Enter the compound and head inside the warehouse to the right Go down the steps leading to Sector 0 Navigate the dark corridors and enter Sector 2 Open the locked double doors in Sector 2 (Requires ~15 Technical Ability) Grab Errata from the furnace The route leading to the Thermal Katana is fairly straightforward despite the awful lighting conditions inside the power station. Use the minimap as a guide and keep following the doors with the red lights. Eventually, players will reach the end of Sector 2, which has a locked pair of doors that can only be opened if players have a high Technical Ability skill. This value appears to change according to the player's level — those who are already level 50 should have at least 20 Technical Ability to be sure. Once players open the double doors, head into the furnace and grab the Errata from there. This will cause a message to appear, saying that enemies have been alerted to the player's presence, though there's a decent chance none will appear if players have already cleared the area out before. Errata deals guaranteed critical damage to burning enemies while also having a chance to burn anything it hits. This sword works best with other sources of damage that can also light targets on fire. This power station is a part of the Disasterpiece job , where players and Judy try to track down Evelyn Parker. It should be possible to grab Errata while doing this mission once players pass through the furnace area. Players who missed the sword during this mission can still return to the power station later. Cyberpunk 2077 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Marc is a seasoned writer and enjoyer of all things difficult in gaming. Some of his most-played genres are FPS, MMO, RPG, horror, and sandbox survival. He enjoys the frantic firefights of Apex Legends and dark corridors of Resident Evil as much as he loves the peace and quiet of Stardew Valley.
