Two Alabama accounting firms merge Feb 3, 2014, 10:14am CST //= $authorImg ?> Enlarge Jamison Money Farmer has acquired Tuscaloosa's Jessup Ingram Burns & Associates… more Two Tuscaloosa-based accounting and business advisory firms, JamisonMoneyFarmer PC and Jessup Ingram Burns & Associates LLP, have recently merged their operations. The combined accounting firm will operate under the JamisonMoneyFarmer PC name. The terms of the merger, which was effective as of Jan. 1, were not disclosed. In addition, a related company Capstone Wealth Management LLC is also joining the JamisonMoneyFarmer family of companies and will continue to operate as Capstone Wealth Management LLC. Founded in 1970, Jessup Ingram Burns & Associates’ staff of 13 provides a variety of services, including income tax preparation, payroll reporting and business startup services, from its office north of the river in Tuscaloosa. Bobby Ingram , Robb Burns and James Brazil - all previously of Jessup Ingram Burns & Associates - will join JMF as shareholders. By the summer of 2014, all Tuscaloosa employees will be located in JMF’s office, located in the Bank of Tuscaloosa Plaza building on Jack Warner Parkway. With the addition of the new employees and owners, JMF, which was founded in 1920, will have 15 shareholders and nearly 100 employees with offices in Tuscaloosa, Birmingham and Selma. The combined firm will have nearly 60 certified public accountants in Alabama, which it reports will make it the sixth largest accounting firm in the state.
