SES Finnish education company Helsinki International School Group will open its first early-childhood learning centre in Bangkok in 2021. It will be one of two Hei Schools opening in Thailand in a collaboration with local partner Children Must Play. The first is set to open in September and welcome up to 200 children aged between one and six. The plan is to open the second in the coming years and expand to classes for primary school pupils. Hei Schools Admescope, a contract research organisation hailing from Oulu, Finland, has been acquired by MercachemSyncom, the leading mid-sized European drug-discovery contract research organisation. The Finnish company brings with it world-class expertise in drug metabolism, drug interactions, pharmacokinetics and quantitative bioanalysis. The round was led by MIG Fonds, with participation from all existing investors, and attracted new investors including Vsquared, Salvia, Santo Venture Capital and Tencent. The funding will be used to accelerate IQM’s hardware development and to co-design application-specific quantum computers for industrial customers. It will also help IQM to attract and retain top global quantum computing talent and to establish sales and business development teams.
