Its primary focus is on supporting education and financial literacy initiatives, but the Foundation also helps a variety of other charities in the many regions where the asset manager does business. Since its inception, the Janus Henderson Foundation has issued more than US$47 million in grants to over 330 non-profit organizations and last year matched more than $350,000 in employee donations. The Foundation provides funding for Junior Achievement’s JA Titan program, a simulation-based program in which high school students compete as business CEOs in the phone industry, experiencing first-hand how executive leadership works. The Foundation also channels the charitable nature of Janus Henderson Investors’ employees by matching employee donations and sponsoring the annual Charity Challenge, a competition where Janus Henderson employees pitch non-profit organizations to their colleagues and a panel of judges in pursuit of donation prizes. Prior to this appointment, Demesha served as the Managing Director for the Janus Henderson Foundation since 2015. Demesha Hill, President of the Janus Henderson Foundation, said: “I’m honored to be entrusted with leading the Janus Henderson Foundation and look forward to continue working with our incredible charity partners around the world. The Foundation’s mission is something I believe in deeply and I have seen the incredible impact we can have on peoples’ lives when we are generous with our time and resources.” Michelle Dunstan, Chief Responsibility Officer at Janus Henderson Investors, said: “We’re so excited to see Demesha elevated to the role of President of the Janus Henderson Foundation.
