Shakhtar ex-player and Ukrainian champion was blocked for supporting his country The situation drew sharp criticism from the Israel Football Association. However, Meta representatives denied that Solomon’s account was blocked due to any of his publications. “Solomon’s account was deleted in error and was quickly restored. His account was not deleted because of any content he shared,” Telegraph Sport quoted company spokesman Mark Zuckerberg as saying. Tottenham eventually issued an apology from Meta, which he conveyed to Solomon in Israel, but there was no further explanation as to why or how it happened. In a post on Instagram, the Israeli Football Association included a photo of Solomon with his mouth taped shut and a message that read: “The truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. God help you!” Solomon’s representatives also insist that the player did not disseminate any anti-Palestinian content and only criticized the Hamas attack while supporting the wounded and dead Israelis. A spokesman for Solomon told Telegraph Sport: “This is ridiculous. He didn’t make any anti-Palestinian posts, just supported his country. This is stupid. The way Instagram reacted is ridiculous.” Following the Hamas attack on Israel, Solomon posted an emotional message on Instagram, saying: “My country, my family, my friends and the people I love have been through hell over the past two days.” As OBOZ.UA reported, Solomon came to Shakhtar in 2019, having played 70 matches in which he scored 16 goals. Together with the miners he became a two-time champion of Ukraine. On July 11, 2023, he signed a contract with the English Premier League club Tottenham until the summer of 2028. Source: Obozrevatel
