ISRA VISION Thu, Aug 03, 2023 07:53 CET Darmstadt, Germany, August 3, 2023 – ISRA VISION GmbH has been awarded as the "Best Excellent Machine Vision Inspection Supplier" by the Chinese company Shandong Steel. The company honors ISRA VISION for its outstanding service and quality standards. "We are very honored to have received this award," said Tomas Lundin, Managing Director of ISRA VISION GmbH and President of the Machine Vision Solutions Division. "The award underlines how we contribute to the quality assurance and improvement of our customers' products and thus create essential added value." ISRA VISION has been equipping Shandong Steel with the PLATE MASTER system since 2017. The PLATE MASTER is a combined 2D/3D inspection system with laser triangulation for inspecting the top and bottom of steel plates. The system consists of two channels and is fully integrated into the hot section of the plate mill. The 3D channel detects and classifies all topographic defects such as cracks and pits, including depth information. At the same time, the 2D channel provides information about possible contrast errors at temperatures up to 1000°C. With the PLATE MASTER, Shandong Steel inspects steel plates that are used, among other things, for construction machinery, pressure pipelines, boilers, bridges and ships.
