The Expert Raises $12M Series A to Develop Interior Design and Home Goods E-Commerce Platform The Expert raised a $12M Series A beginning of this year. The company will be deploying the new funds into additional hiring, technology development and marketing, with plans to double the employee headcount by the end of 2022.   The round was led by First Round Capital, along with Promus Ventures, Forerunner Ventures, Sweet Capital, and others. The two companies anticipate combining Aurora Insight’s RF spectrum mapping capabilities with Maxar’s geospatial solutions to develop a radio frequency-enhanced GEOINT solution for government and commercial customers. Diligent Robotics Raises $30M Series B for Robots in Hospitals and Healthcare Diligent Robotics closed over $30M in a Series B funding that will help them optimize supply chain and design teams for faster robot deployment. They will continue to enhance interoperability and drive purposeful integrations with existing hospital infrastructure, electronic health records and clinical communications. The round was led by Tiger Global. Promus Ventures has been an investor in Diligent Robotics since 2020.  Biocogniv Closes $6M Seed Round for Predictive AI Blood Tests and Modeling Biocogniv announced the closing of its $6M seed round. Using real-world laboratory data from hundreds of hospitals and strategic partners, Biocogniv has created aiMarkers™, predictive AI models that can detect acute conditions before they become irreversible, and clinOS™, a real-time, cloud-based platform that deploys those models into clinical care. PROMUS VENTURES' JOB BOARD <!-- --> PORTFOLIO NEWS <!-- -->       Rocket Lab Awarded $143M MDA Contract, Announces Launch of Three Demonstration Satellites for E-Space Rocket Lab (Nasdaq: RKLB) was awarded a subcontract by MDA Ltd (TSX: MDA) to lead the design and manufacture of 17 spacecraft buses for Globalstar, Inc. (NYSE: GSAT)’s new Low Earth Orbit satellites. The total initial contract value for Rocket Lab is US$143 million, with options to provide the satellite operations control center, launch dispensers, launch integration, and up to nine additional spacecraft with flexibility in timing to order such spacecraft.  Rocket Lab also announced it will launch three demonstration satellites for E-Space to validate the systems and technology for its satellite system. The satellites are scheduled to fly in the second quarter of 2022. Rocket Lab has recently added a second launch pad at its primary New Zealand launch facilities. Also, the company marked its 25th Electron launch with the ‘Without Mission A Beat’ mission, on April 2. The rocket carried a pair of BlackSky rapid-revisit, high-resolution Earth-imaging satellites to LEO.         Isotropic Systems Completes Antenna Test with Telesat LEO, Partners with ST Engineering to Deliver First Fully Integrated Multi-Orbit Antenna Isotropic Systems completed multi-orbit antenna field tests with Telesat on March 22, in Ontario, Canada. Isotropic Systems’ antenna tracked and established a link with Telesat’s Phase 1 Low-Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite and a Geostationary Orbit (GEO) satellite simultaneously.  In addition, the company announced a strategic integration partnership with ST Engineering iDirect, a global leader in satellite communications. The partnership concluded on March 21 secures a fully integrated iDirect waveform option to enrich commercial and government networks globally, enabling concurrent connections in the harshest environments to achieve highly resilient, multi-domain, multi-orbit communications.  Government and Defense end-users will leverage the world's only full-performance multi-link terminal, fully integrated with power and waveform options.        ICEYE Partners with New Light Technologies to Provide Critical Flood Data to U.S. Government Agencies ICEYE and New Light Technologies (NLT) announced a partnership to deliver critical flood hazard data to clients across the federal, state, and local Governments. As the owner of the world’s largest SAR satellite constellation, ICEYE provides access to a high level of persistent monitoring for any location, enabling more insights into natural catastrophes. The company announced a similar partnership with insurance-linked securities (ILS) investment fund manager, Fermat Capital Management, to explore how world monitoring data can bolster sector returns and improve climate resilience.       Spire Announces Strategic Partnership with SNC on Space Services Program, Set to Help U.S. Space Force Detect Satellite Jamming Spire (NYSE: SPIR) will build four 6U LEMUR satellites for Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) to conduct RF collection and analysis, as part of their recent partnership. The program will provide insight into how military and government organizations can better manage RF emissions and safeguard against RF and GPS interference. Spire also announced it's providing GPS telemetry data to the U.S. Space Force to help detect jamming as part of a project run by the U.S. Space Systems Command.  In addition, Spire will develop three 12-unit cubesats that will carry sensors for collecting SSA data for NorthStar Earth & Space. Launch expected in 2023.       Fernride Joins MAN Truck & Bus, Leoni, Knorr-Bremse and Bosch in Autonomous Driving Trucks Project Fernride joins MAN Truck & Bus, Leoni, Knorr-Bremse, Bosch and other German companies, as well as research institutions in the ATLAS-L4 (Automated Transport Between Logistics Centers on Highways, Level 4) project. The project's aim is to have autonomously driving trucks on the highway for the first time by the middle of this decade. With Fernride’s teleoperations platform, autonomous vehicles can be monitored and controlled remotely if necessary.     WHOOP and USA Cycling Partner to Optimize Team USA's Performance WHOOP and USA Cycling announced their partnership to optimize athletes’ training and make informed decisions in the heat of the competition—with visibility into individual and team performance based on personalized sleep, strain, and recovery data. The company leveraged technology to reduce all-in fees by ~50% against the existing cost leaders for full-featured DAFs (i.e., including asset donations).
