Meet The ABS Executive Team Dr. Adam Singer, MD Chief Executive Officer Dr. Singer has been a highly successful physician and healthcare entrepreneur. In 1991, he had been a pulmonologist in private practice when he acquired and later merged with two other pulmonary physicians’ practices to become part of Consultants For Lung Disease, Inc. By 1995 and for the next 20 years, he served as a director, chairman and Chief Executive Officer, of North Hollywood, California-based IPC Healthcare Inc., previously known as IPC-The Hospitalist Co. He and IPC were pioneers of a new healthcare speciality called Hospitalist Medicine. Dr. Singer led IPC through venture capital funding, their IPO, and through completion of its acquisition in November 2015 by Team Health. At the time, IPC had more than 1,900 physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants at more than 400 hospitals and 1,700 post-acute care facilities. In 1998, Dr. Singer was named an Up & Comer by Modern Healthcare. In 2008, Dr. Singer was named Modern Physician’s first-ever Physician Entrepreneur of the Year and in 2009, he was recognized as the Regional Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year. Dr. Singer received his B.S. in biology from the University of California, Los Angeles and his medical degree from the Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University. He completed his post-doctoral internship and residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in pulmonary medicine at University of Southern California. Jeff Skibitsky, M.A., BCBA, LBA President Jeffrey William Skibitsky (Jeff), MA, BCBA, LBA, is founder and president of Alternative Behavior Strategies (ABS). Headquartered in Salt Lake City, ABS, an accredited member of Behavioral Health Center of Excellence (BHCOE), was founded in 2011 and has grown to become a leading provider of services to children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). Today, the company has locations in California, Utah and North Carolina. It works with a team of more than 500 treatment providers across multiple sites and clinics. As president, Mr. Skibitsky oversees all clinical initiatives for the company, including service delivery, recruitment and training for members of the behavior intervention team. A Board Certified Behavior Analyst, Mr. Skibitsky has been very active in the autism community for almost two decades, holding numerous positions on various committees and boards. He is a strong advocate for people with ASD and is a nationally recognized expert on treatments for children with ASD, regularly conducting workshops and presentations. Mr. Skibitsky received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, in 2001 and his Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University in Los Angeles in 2008. In 2009, Mr. Skibitsky earned Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification from the BCBA Credentialing Program. Fernando Sarria Chief Financial Officer Fernando joined the Company in August 2018 as a seasoned executive with more than three decades of healthcare management experience, starting with KPMG. Most recently, Fernando was Chief Financial Officer for the Acute and Post-Acute division of TeamHealth, one of the nation’s largest healthcare companies. In 2015 TeamHealth acquired IPC Healthcare (IPC) where Fernando was the Senior Vice President of Finance and Chief Accounting Officer. Fernando joined IPC in 2001 when it was a start-up company and he played an instrumental role in financially managing the growth of the company to $750 million in revenues, 2,000 providers, and 360 practices operating in 28 states. Fernando also played a key role in IPC’s Initial Public Offering in 2008, the acquisition of over 150 practices, and the prosperous sale in 2015 to TeamHealth. Fernando received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from California State University, Long Beach. Jamie Glazer Chief Operating Officer Jamie joined the team in September 2018 and brings 25 years of experience in Healthcare Business Operations to ABS. Most recently, Jamie was Vice President Acute and Post-Acute Revenue Cycle at TeamHealth, one of the nation’s largest healthcare companies. In 2015, TeamHealth acquired IPC Healthcare (IPC). Jamie joined IPC in 1999 when it was a start-up company and she played an instrumental role in Revenue Cycle Management, financial and data analysis, strategic process management as well as system and process design. Jamie was also responsible for the Billing and Collections department with a staff of over 350 employees. Jamie received a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with an emphasis in Economics and Psychology as well as a Masters of Education, Mathematics from University of California Los Angeles. Dr. Natalie Roth, PhD Vice President of Clinical Services Dr. Natalie Roth, PhD (2001; Fuller) is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist specializing in childhood neurodevelopment delays. Dr. Roth grew up in Utah and attended the University of Utah. She graduated from the APA approved psychology program at Fuller Theological Seminary following practicum experience at the University of Southern California and an internship at St. John’s Child Development Center in Santa Monica, California. She and her husband returned to the mountains and lifestyle of Salt Lake City in 2002. Tim Lary Chief Talent Officer Tim Lary joined ABS in November of 2018. Tim is a senior Human Resources leader with 25+ years of progressive experience working with complex large-scale organizations and high-growth, private equity-backed companies. Most recently, Tim was the Chief Talent Officer for MedOptions, a national leader providing behavioral health services to skilled nursing and assisted living facilities. Prior to MedOptions, he was Vice President of Talent Acquisition for TeamHealth, one of the largest providers of hospital-based clinical outsourcing in the US with 20,000 clinicians. Before joining TeamHealth through acquisition, Tim was the Vice President of Talent at IPC Healthcare. Joining the organization in 2004, he helped grow a team of 300 clinicians into the nation’s largest provider of hospitalist & post-acute services, with more than 2,000 clinicians in 28 states. Tim earned his Bachelor’s in Business Administration, with a concentration in Economics, from Harding University. Kirk Barton, MBA, JD General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer Mr. Barton joined ABS in 2018 and has over 12 years of legal and compliance experience in both the healthcare and technology industries. Mr. Barton is responsible for the management and implementation of all legal affairs for ABS and leads the internal processes for promoting and ensuring ABS’s compliance with laws, regulations, company policies and procedures, and chairing its Compliance Committee.
