About Interlink Electronics

Manufacturer of devices which translate the sense of touch into an electronically readable format. The Force Sensing Resistors (FSR) allow electronic responses to be generated whenever force is applied. The FSRs are activated by numerous types of pressure including pressures from devices, part of the human body, liquids, gases, etc. With appropriate supporting electronics, the FSRs can stop, start, select, increase/decrease intensity, detect presence, or measure force. The FSRs are thin (0.005-0.05 inches), fitting 256 FSRs within one-half inch square area. They are impervious to moisture, vibration, and noise and retain performance through millions of actuations, even in hostile environments. Applications of this technology currently under development are monitoring of fiber-reinforced composites manufacture, computer input devices (keyboards & mouse replacements), electronic musical instruments, and rugged key pads.
