Birketts has acted for the shareholders of Intelligent Communications Solutions Limited on the deal. The shareholders of expert telecoms rigging installations and design company, Intelligent Communications Solutions Limited (ICS) sold shares to the WHP Telecoms group (WHP). The three main shareholders of ICS, directors Kevin Doncaster, Alex Welch and Matt Riches, are confident that the expert in-house design and build services offered by the company will boost WHP’s offering and raise their profile in the sector. ICS also brings with it some impressive clients in the form of multinational telecommunications firm Telefonica, for whom it provides full design and build services in London and South East. Founded in 2004, Essex-based ICS offers a wide range of technical support services in the construction, electrical and telecommunications industries, supplying materials and highly skilled engineers to help optimise existing networks, including providing support with rigging and civil engineering services. Established in 1988 and headquartered in Warrington, WHP has a workforce of around 700 people across the UK. The organisation is one of the leading suppliers of network infrastructure services and provides support and deployment services to the telecommunications industry.
