Email | Twitter | Google+ Targeted-marketing tech firm inStream Media Inc. is on pace to double revenue to $20 million this year while aiming to employ about 25 people by the end of the year, said president and CEO Ann Raider . The Wellesley-based company delivers real-time, point-of-sale, targeted marketing offers, such as coupons, on paper and digital consumer receipts for national retailers such as Tennessee-Based Dollar General (NYSE: DG) and North Carolina-based Family Dollar (NYSE: FDO). The company also provides a mobile marketing program that allows brands to connect with customers on their smart phones to drive sales and improve customer loyalty. Revenue for the company in 2013 was $10.7 million, up from $2.8 million in 2012, Raider said in an interview. Raider anticipates the company will grow to more than $20 million in revenue this year. The company's swift growth is attributed to a need in the market, she said. "We listen really well to our customers and we put in practice marketing programs that serve them well," she said. The company, founded in 2008, currently employs 19 in a 5,000-square-foot office in Wellesley and is looking to relocate to another Wellesley location with about 8,000 square feet, Raider said. As the company grows into its new office space, it will also expand its offerings into supermarkets and convenience stores. The company also plans to build an analytical practice that will help brands get more detailed information about their consumers. "We'll be able to look at loyalty card numbers and understand what those customer segments do in terms of what they buy and don't buy," Raider said. "We'll also be able to understand better who are the top shoppers, not only in dollar spend but in frequency of visits. " Page 1
