Society of Torch & Laurel is based in Washington, DC. It is an honors program developed by the National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS) to recognize high school high achievers and provide expertise, insight, motivation, inspiration, and vital tools to make better decisions about creating an ideal future.

TEDx program is designed to give communities, organizations and individuals the opportunity to stimulate dialogue through TED-like experiences at the local level. TEDTalks is a daily video podcast of the best talks and performances from the TED Conference, where the worlds leading thinkers and doers give the talk of their lives in 18 minutes. TED brings together people from three worlds: Technology, Entertainment, Design. TEDTalks cover these topics as well as science, business, development and the arts.

It provides access to music, the arts, cultural experiences, and educational and outreach programs that assist the region in economic development, urban revitalization, and community enrichment.
