––% RevTech Labs III Demo Day To Showcase Charlotte Startups, Pinpoint the Region as a Hub for Technology Startups by Benzinga Staff May 19, 2014 6:00 AM | 3 min read A partnership between Packard Place and Sierra Maya Ventures, Charlotte's startup incubator program to debut its class of companies to the public, close index fund investment into the class. Charlotte, NC (PRWEB) May 19, 2014 RevTech Labs III, the Charlotte region's incubator and accelerator program for technology and financial startups, will hold its Demo Day on Tuesday, May 20th. The event will showcase the class of startups, ranging from emerging technologies to financial innovators from across the country. With many of the companies gaining traction and attracting the attention of investors, Demo Day is generating interest and excitement in the startup community from around the region. RevTech Labs III is the third class of Charlotte's startup incubator program. Based in the city's entrepreneurial hub, Packard Place, the program is geared to help the founders of early stage companies refine their business models, prepare for fundraising and hiring, and work towards gaining traction, revenue and profitability. The program is a partnership between Packard Place and early stage venture fund Sierra Maya Ventures, and is sponsored by several local partners. “Everyone is really pumped for Demo Day,” says Amish Shah, Founding Partner of Sierra Maya Ventures and Managing Partner of the RevTech Labs program. “These companies have come a long way from when we started, and have shown tremendous growth and progress. This class is going to make waves across the tech landscape.” Companies in the RevTech Labs III class have already started to attract attention from investors, as well as the technology community. The program has provided several opportunities for the class to network with and pitch to local and national investors, including a debut appearance at TechCrunch Disrupt in New York. From this class, the program sent Paradine, Inovance and Ecampus to the event earlier this month to showcase their products and represent RevTech Labs, with Paradine placing third in the Audience Choice Award. “Our goal was to help these companies be successful while showing the world that Charlotte is a prime location to run a technology company,” says Dan Roselli, Founder of Packard Place and Managing Partner of RevTech Labs. “We've demonstrated both the strength and potential of this class of companies, and have put Charlotte on the tech startup map.” Each company will pitch to the Demo Day audience on Tuesday. RevTech III companies include Paradine, Kydaemos, iGenApps, SKoolAide, eCampus, SavedPlus, FitRaise, Inovance and ItsYourVet. Visit http://www.revtechlabs.com to learn more about the companies. The RevTech Labs Demo Day marks the final days for investing in the class through its 506c index fund, set to close on May 23rd. The first of its kind in the Southeast, the fund provides accredited investors in Charlotte and across the nation the opportunity to invest across the class of companies at lower valuations. With several companies already gaining investment interest before Demo Day, the fund provides an attractive investment opportunity to those new to angel investing. The fund, with over $200,000 raised, will provide funding spread equally across all of the companies. To learn more about the index fund, visit the RevTech Labs Angel List Page . RevTech Labs III Demo Day begins on Tuesday, May 20th at 2:15pm EST at Packard Place. Interested investors and members of the community are encouraged to attend, and can register to attend on the RevTech Labs Demo Day Evite page .
