With an investment focus on SaaS, cloud infrastructure and data science, current partner companies in addition to Egnyte include: Confluence, InsideSales, Lob, Notarize, and Recurly. He’s been recognized as an Always–On VC 100 and VC East “Power Player” as result of investment returns success over the last five years. He also serves on the Dana–Farber Cancer Institute Board of Trustees.

Gus Malezis is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Imprivata. Gus is widely recognized as a visionary leader in the information technology security industry where he brings more than 30 years of experience driving innovation and growth while building market leading organizations.
Prior to joining Imprivata, Gus was most recently the President of Tripwire, a leading global provider of endpoint detection and response, security and compliance solutions. In his career, Gus has built a strong track record of delivering growth and innovation for leading technology and security companies such as Tripwire, McAfee, and 3Com. He combines extensive knowledge of global markets including North America, Europe, and Asia with strong technical knowledge and a passion for enabling customer success in the rapidly changing IT marketplace. Gus has extensive background and expertise in information security and compliance, networking, network systems management, CRM, and application design and development.

Paul Maeder has been our Chief Financial Officer since inception. From 1987 to the Present, Mr. Maeder has been General Partner and the Chair of Highland Capital Partners, a venture capital company. From 1984 to 1987, Mr. Maeder served as General Partner of Charles River Ventures, a venture capital company. Prior to joining Charles River Ventures, Mr. Maeder was an Engineer and Project Manager of Synemed, Inc., a biomedical engineering products company. Mr. Maeder also serves on the board of 2U (2010-Present) and Exagrid, Inc. (2017-Present). Mr. Maeder has an MBA from Harvard Business School, an MS from Stanford University, and a BSE from Princeton University.
Scott joined Thoma Bravo in 2002 from the Palo Alto, CA office of Summit Partners, a leading private equity firm, where he invested in and worked with companies in various sectors, including software, technology and business services. Previously, he was with the private equity firm of J.H. Whitney & Co., Stamford, CT, where he was active in middle-market buyouts and growth equity financings across a wide range of industries. He also worked at Hewlett-Packard as a product manager and at Alex. Brown & Sons in corporate finance and in mergers and acquisitions. Scott earned a BS degree in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University and an MBA degree from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
