In an opinion piece published Friday on C4ISRNET, Clevenger wrote that LEO satellites have the capability to deliver low latency connectivity in remote locations, supporting videoconferencing and other latency-intensive applications. He noted that hybrid networks could provide agencies with built-in redundancy and enable them to minimize congestion by optimizing bandwidth utilization. According to Clevenger, hybrid networks that come with LEO services could support multistate emergency networks, critical infrastructure monitoring and national and international connectivity.
