Users in several cities, where TinyOwl operates, received a service update from the firm saying, “We will be discontinuing service in your locality after 22 May”. We will come back soon to serve you better,” the message added. The company delivers food from restaurants in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Jaipur, Nagpur, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Thane, Pune, Faridabad, Noida, Ghaziabad, Navi Mumbai, Gurgaon and Lucknow. In November 2015, TinyOwl was in the news for laying off 112 employees in its Chennai, Pune, Hyderabad and Delhi offices. Fashion Discovery Platform Hoppingo Raises Rs 60 lakh from Gurgaon Based vCommission Delhi-based Survar Media Pvt. Ltd. backed online fashion discovery platform Hoppingo has raised Rs 60 lakh ($89,000) from Gurgaon-based vCommission, which is a 100% subsidiary of Adways VC India Pvt. Ltd, a joint venture between Tokyo Stock Exchange-listed Adways Inc and VC Internet Media. The startup curates more than 800 e-stores across nearly 20 categories, including accessories, apparel and home décor. Home to more than 10,000 products, the company charges Rs 200-250 on every transaction done on its platform. The company is doing 5,000 transactions per month and aims to achieve 10,000 transactions by October. Food Tech Startup Eatonomist Gets Seed Round from MCube Capital Gurgaon-based startup  Eatonomist , an online platform that delivers meals prepared at its kitchens, has raised a seed round of funding from MCube Capital Advisors Pvt Ltd. The startup which is run by Fitmeal Solutions Pvt. Ltd, will use the capital for marketing and building brand. Also, the company will soon launch an app as well. The startup is currently operating in Gurgaon and caters to corporates. With a team of 20 employees, including five chefs, the company claims to be doing more than 300 orders a day. It plans to expand its network to Delhi by the end of this year. Flipkart’s Sharat Singh Quits Within Six Months, Joins US Multinational Adobe as VP of engineering Sharat Singh, who had joined Flipkart as vice president of engineering in November, has quit the eCommerce company. He has joined US multinational Adobe as vice president of engineering. Before joining Flipkart, Singh was working with online travel agency MakeMyTrip, where he was the chief technology officer. An alumnus of IIT Delhi and Stern School of Business, Singh previously worked with Shopzilla, Nextag Inc and Microsoft. Share this article:
