Sign Up × Noel Edmonds popped into a West Country farm shop on Friday morning (September 29) to pick up some essentials - doughnuts. The Deal or No Deal star stopped by Honey and Ginger Farm Village Store and Farm Shop in Failand, Somerset this morning with his wife, Liz. The couple were on their way to a meeting, SomersetLive reports , when they dropped by to buy some treats. And it seems that they picked the best day to pop in, as not only was it a gloriously sunny autumn morning, but it was also doughnut day at the family-run farm shop . Once a week, Honey and Ginger receives a delivery of trays of the famous Pippins doughnuts in all sorts of flavours. A testament to their popularity, the delightful doughnuts tend to sell out before lunchtime rolls around. Noel and Liz picked up a selection of doughnuts and chatted with members of staff, with Noel stopping for a few photos behind the counter. This morning, however, Noel did not stop to put in a shift at Honey and Ginger, like he did at the Victoria Park Community Cafe in Frome earlier this month. The Noel's House Party star was in Frome a few weeks ago to visit family when he shocked customers and members of staff alike by popping in for a coffee. After staff joked that he could do a shift behind the counter, he agreed, and started serving coffees to customers. Noel Edmonds and wife Liz popped into Honey and Ginger and bought some of the shop's legendary doughnuts (Image: Somerset Live) A youthful looking Noel, 74, who appeared in I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here in 2018 and was the first to be voted out of the jungle, is in the UK due to his daughter Alice having a baby. He has also been spotted shopping at Tesco in Wells. "There were even reports I’d done a stint behind the tills," he joked. Noel, who moved to New Zealand with wife Liz in 2019, has since purchased a number of rural properties near Nelson including the Dunbar Estate at Ngatimoti on the banks of the Motueka River which includes a cafe. Honey and Ginger opened in 2020 and is known for its amazing range of pastries and cakes, including its Friday doughnut delivery. It has become a popular stop off point for people wanting a trip out to the countryside and is now a regular haunt for cyclists and walkers as well as locals. Alongside fresh produce and decadent cakes, the shop also sells healthier alternatives, such as low carb doughnuts and gluten free cakes, as well as a range of coffees. Honey and Ginger supervisor Mandy Bourton said: "It was lovely to see him and he’s such a lovely, friendly chap. He must have heard about our doughnuts."
