More info Group 28 Pet shop staff have urged anyone with information to contact police after a blind and deaf guinea pig was stolen. Staff from Pets at Home, in Hartlepool , have taken to social media after the incident on Friday. The team urged customers to be on the lookout for anyone selling a guinea pig and told members of the public to pass on information to Cleveland Police . According to the team the pet is blind and deaf. She is described as pure white with long hair and was kept with another guinea pig who is now "distraught". The Facebook post reads: "Can I ask all of our lovely customers and followers to listen out for anyone who is trying to rehome or sell or even says they have recently got a new guinea pig that is blind and deaf. "We have just had her stolen from our Hartlepool store. She is pure white with long hair, the guinea pig she was with is now distraught as she was very bonded with her and was her eyes and ears helping her with daily life." Shop staff say they have informed police and handed over CCTV to officers, the post adds: "Any information please get in touch with the store or the police.
