The transaction includesacquisition of HireWorks' recruitment solution and its customerbase, enabling Ultimate Software to integrate HireWorks' Internetcapabilities into UltiPro Workforce Management and to broaden UltimateSoftware's market. Much of the integration work has been done, andfull integration will be complete by August of this year with thedelivery of UltiPro Workforce Management 7.0. "HireWorks is a perfect strategic fit for us since our currentcustomers can benefit by extending their UltiPro recruitmentcapabilities and new customers have the option of purchasing theHireWorks functionality as standalone eRecruitment or as an end-to-endtalent management solution when they purchase it as a feature-set inUltiPro Workforce Management," said Laura Perkins, vice president,product strategy. HireWorks' hosted service delivery model and use of Microsofttechnology tools align closely with Ultimate Software's businessstrategy to leverage Internet technology for better customer pricing andservice. A comprehensive solution for managing the hiring process fromcandidate sourcing through offer acceptance, the HireWorks' productwas built on the same Microsoft platform as UltiPro WorkforceManagement, is XML-ready and will be incorporated into UltiPro usingHR-XML standards. Using UltiPro eRecruitment, businesses can post job openings tomultiple Web job boards and to their own company-branded careerWebsites.
