The seven-member jury awarded $10 million to the Pirates of The Caribbean star in compensatory damages while $5 million was awarded in punitive damages in the defamation suit. Later, when Guthrie mentioned about Depp's message promising global humiliation to Heard in a message to a friend, the Aquaman star said, "I know he promised it. I'm not a good victim, I get it. I'm not a likeable victim, I'm not a perfect victim. But when I testified I asked the jury to see me and hear his own words which is a promise to do this, it seems as though he has."
