Brendan Maynard | June 18, 2014 | No Comment Tweet For registered dieticians, life can be stressful enough as they worry about their clients and managing their business, let alone their personal lives. There are plenty of options out there in terms of general software to help keep records, but Croatian-founded GreenPie wants to offer a platform that is directly tailored to their needs. Launched in February, 2014 by Mirna Bacun , registered-dietician Janine Bamberger , and Tomislav Tusek , this service allows nutritionists to access client records, consult with them in real-time, schedule appointments, and basically manage all aspects of their practice within one program. It is a cloud-based service, as well, so users have access to the platform all over the place. Although the service is geared towards the nutritionists, the nutritionists’ clients can also use the platform to maintain diet diaries and then share them in order to receive feedback. GreenPie offers packages ranging in price from $40/month for one client to $139/month for up to 9 (or, there are even pricier packages available for larger firms). At the most basic level, clients can access diet diaries, add comments to diaries, add counseling notes, and so forth. If they wish to schedule appointments, access the virtual clinic (where they can consult with colleagues), make reports, or other functions, they would have to increase their subscription level. One of the main competitors in this market is probably PHRQL , which develops software for dietitians with an emphasis on those who work for supermarkets. Their software allows dietitians to monitor the health records and develop brand loyalty for their stores. GreenPie incubated at Croatian ZIP (which we previously covered a few weeks ago when they announced a crowdfunding campaign to back startups) and then went on to raise 200K from Bulgarian accelerator/seed fund LAUNCHub.
