SIX COUNCILS IMPROVE EMPLOYABILITY FOR LEARNING DISABILITIES AutonoMe , the creators of apps and support programmes for vulnerable people in social care settings, has announced that its service has gone live across six local authorities in the UK, as part of the Social Care Digital Innovation Accelerator 2020/21 (SCDIA) programme. The project is co-designing a digital support tool for an initial cohort of 50 people with learning disabilities. The app and associated one-on-one education support will enable the cohort to live more independently. Following the introduction of the ‘at home’ virtual support, the collaboration will move on to co-design and deploy further content with a dual focus on supporting employability, as well as mental health and wellbeing. The London Borough of Barking and Dagenham (LBBD), which brought the project to the SCDIA, run by the Local Government Association with match-funding from NHS Digital for investment, is joined by five other local authorities: Telford & Wrekin Council, Haringey Council, West Sussex County Council, Peterborough City Council and Cambridgeshire County Council. GPDQ LAUNCHES LONDON DRIVE THRU COVID-19 TESTING CENTRE On-demand GP service, GPDQ, has announced the launch of London’s first private drive thru COVID-19 testing facility. Following the wide spread demand for COVID-19 PCR tests, with people all over the country unable to receive tests in a timely manner, GPDQ has launched the service in London to meet this increased demand. Patients with COVID-19 symptoms can book a 10-minute slot at the site in Hadley Wood using GPDQ’s  online  system, and the test will then be conducted using swabs on-site at the centre. As part of the service, patients who test positive will be called by a GP who will provide a consultation on how best to manage their symptoms and address concerns. NEW INTEGRATED CARE RECORD LIVE IN BATH AND NORTH EAST SOMERSET Provider of shared care record solutions, Graphnet has gone live with a new system that allows health and social care professionals to share records of 189,000 residents to provide more focused community care across Bath and North East Somerset (BaNES). The new Integrated Care Record (ICR) creates a single point of information for care professionals across the community allowing them to share records and improve patient flow across the area and cutting waiting times. Graphnet was commissioned by Virgin Care to deliver its CareCentric shared record solution. Virgin Care in turn provides health and social care services on behalf of Bath and North East Somerset CCG and Bath and North East Somerset Council. The ICR shares information between Virgin Care, General Practices, Bath and North East Somerset Council and Royal United Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. MOODBEAM LAUNCHES NEW TRIAL TO SUPPORT NHS STAFF Health tech company, Moodbeam has partnered up with Agencia's Primary Care Direct, a business that provides tailored support services to develop healthcare practices. The eight week programme will take place at Amicus Health a GP practice in Devon and will allow the team to use Moodbeam’s self reporting wellbeing tool, Moodbeam One. The devices allows users to log how they feel in the moment via buttons on the device. The information is then tracked within the device’s companion app and provides the employer with visualisations of mood information that can help them identify triggers and patterns. The data is stored in the cloud and is visible to employers on a dashboard, providing an insight into how people are feeling and coping and driving overall employee engagement. Tags:
