Online retail giant Amazon entered into a definitive agreement with San Francisco-based One Medical to acquire the company for $3.9 billion. One Medical’s platform makes it easier for patients to schedule appointments, renew prescriptions and more. One Medical CEO Dan Rubin will remain at the helm of the company after the deal closes. Phaidra’s AI platform uses reinforcement learning techniques to learn the energy usage of industrial facilities, which allows the platform to better manage them. According to the company, the platform helps businesses produce less energy waste and increase profits. Last week Phaidra closed a Series A round that was led by Starshot Capital. The platform will also allow recruiters to directly connect with candidates and will have several diversity tools. According to SeekOut, the platform will help with the looming healthcare workforce shortage . [Built In Seattle] Alpenglow Biosciences partnered with CorePlus . Alpenglow blends 3D spatial tech with the human anatomy to create high-quality renditions of human tissues that can be studied. According to the company, its technology renders images with more data than traditional observing methods.
