Starting with automated transit systems (subway, ART system, monorail, people movers, etc.), Clarian has developed technologies to provide real-time optimization of energy consumption using rate control and power modulation technologies that supplement existing safety-critical onboard and wayside ATC controls as well enable presence-awareness in vehicles so that they can operate in unison, rather than autonomously as they do today. These capabilities in turn create broader network energy efficiencies, smoother ride and reduced wear and tear, increased capacity, and reduced rolling stock and power infrastructure requirements.As part of its research and development efforts, Clarian has developed a suite of energy modeling and simulation tools. These tools can be used by transit agencies and/or system operators as part of either the design process or operational configuration to optimize or re-configure existing operations to begin realizing immediate energy cost-savings.

Encycle, formerly REGEN, provides an Energy as a Service by Encycle (EASE) solution that maximizes the performance of RTUs to save commercial and industrial companies money while reducing their carbon footprint. Based on patented Swarm Logic technology, Encycle's platform uses biomimicry techniques to reduce HVAC energy costs, participate in Demand Response programs, and gain valuable insight into RTU performance. EASE is simple and easy to install, optionally integrates with leading IoT solutions, and delivers ROIs that far exceed most solar, storage and lighting initiatives.

Hexaformer's technology aims to make it possible to manufacture closed symmetrical delta shaped transformer cores. Per the company, it does this by winding the transformer core instead of stacking sheets of metal. The benefits according to the company of this design to transformers include: a lower load loss, lighter, smaller volume, less vibrations, less noise, smaller electromagnetic stray fields, lower inrush current, and no third harmonic. The same type of technology is also used in the Hexaformer reactors for phase compensation. These cores are also wound to a triangular shape on which three coils are mounted to make the solutions small, yet efficient. The benefits per Hexaformer of this transformer technology include reducing the losses in the electricity grid as well as lowering the cost of operation and maintenance by 5% to 15% compared to traditional transformers.
