InterVision Completes Sixth Acquisition; Buys Fotis Networks

Oct 3, 2019

ChannelE2E by Ty Trumbull • Oct 3, 2019 InterVision Systems , a Cisco Systems partner backed by private equity firm Huron Capital , has acquired Boston-based Fotis Networks , an IT professional services and consulting firm. While terms of the deal were not disclosed, this marks InterVision’s sixth acquisition in the last three years. The company last acquired advanced analytics firm SeyVu in September 2019. This latest purchase will grow InterVision’s engineering talent pool, the company said. It will also shore up its ability to provide services to clients within the commercial, healthcare, education, and government sectors. InterVision Acquires Fotis Networks: Executive Perspectives Aaron Stone, president and CEO of InterVision, commented: “Our clients are moving into more complex environments that require greater expertise in cloud services, security, enterprise infrastructure and compliance to name a few. Fotis brings technical depth in these areas and complements our current engineering talent. Coming together as one organization allows us to service our clients in the most effective manner.” Frank Loulourgas, founder and CEO of Fotis, also commented: “The natural synergy between Fotis and InterVision is the result of mutual respect, shared values, and experience working together on complex client deployments. Joining the InterVision team enhances our collective ability to deliver the best client outcomes.” The Massachusetts-based Fotis has operated since 1998, providing enterprise infrastructure and security, cloud computing, compliance services, disaster recovery, and more. Fotis and InterVision have a relationship stretching back nearly two years, with Fotis serving as an InterVision Service Delivery Partner. InterVision’s Growth InterVision has been a Cisco Systems partner since 1997. The company focuses on Cisco’s cloud and managed services master designations and maintains a Gold Partner status. Private equity firm Huron Capital invested in InterVision in 2016. Since then InterVision has made a number of deals, the Fotis deal representing the firm’s sixth buyout in the last three years. Examples include: September 2018: InterVision acquired Infiniti in September 2018 . That deal bolstered the firm’s cloud services offerings and now it has one of the deepest benches of AWS and Azure cloud architects and technical specialists in the United States. SeyVu’s AI/ML expertise complements InterVision’s cloud services practice, the company said. December 2017: InterVision acquired Independent Technology Group (ITG), an integrator of networking, storage and security solutions based in Westlake Village, California. ITG serves clients locally to internationally, from small businesses to Fortune 100 companies across a broad variety of vertical markets, InterVision indicated at the time. June 2017: InterVision merged with Netelligent Corp., a provider of Hybrid IT solutions. Related Content
