Take a look inside five trendy workplaces in Louisville Todd Balsley , who leads marketing and strategy at Forest Giant, said the company needs a space it can grow into. Currently it employs about 15. "The space (at The Pointe) is awesome," Balsley said. "We love it. It's a useful space, but we're kind of growing out of it. " Forest Giant has called The Pointe, at 1205 E. Washington St. in Butchertown, home for about four years. The company was one of the building's first tenants. Balsley estimates the company will move to Frankfort Avenue around May or June, depending on the renovations. Business First featured Forest Giant in its Coolest Office Spaces publication in June , where creative director Jon Shaw and president Dave Durand discussed the office's lounge space, natural light and abstract art. Balsley said the Forest Giant team has learned a lot from designing its current office and will apply those lessons to the new space. For example, The Pointe office incorporates skylights to let in more natural light. But sometimes those lights weren't conducive with computer screens, he said. Page 1
