FlyTo, one of the new 2017 cohort of Wayra UK companies, has landed significant backing from the travel sector for its business plans by winning a major industry award. In front of a packed house of travel executives, FlyTo fought off four other start-ups – including another Wayra UK alum, Ensygnia – in a pitching contest to secure the prestigious Travel Tech Europe 2017 Disrupt award. Over 1,000 companies were nominated for the award, the winner of which receives a PR and marketing campaign and a stand at next year’s Travel Technology Europe event.
