Будь ты проклята, стартап-сцена, со своей привычкой тратить по полчаса каждое утро на чтение TechCrunch, TNW, Wired, Gizmodo, Mashable, The Verge и ProductHunt – лишь бы оставаться «в теме». К черту ваши идиотские разговоры вроде: «Ой, вы видели новую функцию Snapchat ? Кто смотрел собрание с Цукербергом в прямом эфире? А вы видели последний твит Илона Маска ? Uber закрыла очередной раунд!» К черту все это. Всем плевать. К черту ваше безумное рабочее расписание. Никому нет дела до того, что Илон Маск работает по 100 часов в неделю , а Марисса Майер – 130 часов в неделю , да еще и не прекращая кормить грудью своих новорожденных детей. Вы не Илон Маск и не Марисса Майер, вы не полетите в космос и не создадите новую SpaceX. Сделайте одолжение, отложите свой гребаный Mac куда подальше и проведите время со своими детьми. К черту ваши расстройства приема пищи. Неужели так необходимо постоянно впадать в крайности? То вы пожираете пиццу и запасы офисных снеков, то переходите на «я должен оптимизировать каждую секунду жизни» и питаетесь только смесями от Soylent . Серьезно, что с вами не так? К черту все эти вечеринки после успешного привлечения средств. Разве не понятно? Вы просто копаете себе яму еще глубже. Лучше праздновать каждый день, в который вам не приходится продавать кому-то часть своей компании. К черту ваши открытые офисы – вы действительно думаете, что Цукерберг составляет план развития Facebook на 2017 год, пока рядом бушуют офисные войны ? К черту ваши столы для работы стоя , лежа , на мяче для фитнеса или на беговой дорожке . Это все равно не поможет избавиться от только что съеденных вами чипсов, так что заткнитесь и работайте сидя на нормальном стуле, как все нормальные люди. К черту ваше стремление читать по книге в неделю . Никто не сможет читать так быстро. Давайте я повторю: НИКТО, ЧЕРТ ВОЗЬМИ, НЕ СМОЖЕТ ТАК БЫСТРО ЧИТАТЬ. Как насчет того, чтобы действительно читать и вчитываться во все эти книги? К черту ваши постоянные отсылки к Малькольму Гладуэллу  и Дэну Ариэли , и ради всего святого, хватит цитировать книги о бережливом стартапе . Все мы уже давно это читали. К черту работу в гараже и «рабочие места» площадью в 2,5 квадратных метра. «Эй, но зато я могу привести на работу свою собаку!» Нет уж, идите к черту. К черту вашу зацикленность на продуктивности. Вы думаете, что мне должно быть стыдно спать «аж» до шести часов утра. Вы же встали в 4:30 , медитировали полчаса, еще полчаса перечитывали свои квартальные и годовые «цели», а затем наслаждались протеиновым коктейлем, попутно освежая в памяти ежедневные мнемонические практики. К черту ваши наушники с шумоподавлением, таймеры Pomodoro , ваши дурацкие списки дел , приложения, записки, стикеры и черт знает что еще. Мне надоело слышать от вас, что просмотр ТВ – пустая трата времени, хотя сами вы только и делаете, что смотрите сериалы. Хватит восхищаться тем, насколько «Мистер Робот» похож на вас. Можете и дальше смеяться над тем, насколько все реалистично в «Кремниевой долине» , вместо того чтобы задаться вопросом, почему. Но черт, хватит говорить мне «всегда спрашивай, почему» . Кто-нибудь вообще знает расшифровку всех этих аббревиатур ? А все эти мероприятия по нетворкингу? Мой бог, на них каждый – сам себе CEO, создающий MVP, который гарантированно взорвет рынок, на который всем наплевать. К черту дизайн-спринты , из-за которых появляется по сотне новых версий каждый день, без использования среды для подготовки, но с постройкой архитектуры микросервисов. К черту переключатели функций и бесконечные варианты A/B-тестирования. Я хочу видеть одну и ту же версию веб-страницы каждый раз, когда ее обновляю, а не привыкать к новому ее виду. К черту стартапы с вашими выпендрежными вечеринками и сумасшедшими мероприятиями, которые обходятся вам слишком дорого. Вы должны тратить эти деньги на сервера. Нет смысла покупать столы для пинг-понга, в который никто не играет, чертовы музыкальные комнаты , комнаты для сна, медитации, снятия стресса и пилатеса. К черту идиотские стимулы , которыми вы вдохновляете людей. К черту вашу политику по неограниченному отпуску. Всем известно, что сотрудники будут отдыхать еще меньше , чем обычно. И самое главное: будь проклят, мир стартапов, за то, что я стал частью тебя.

MyRoll, Israeli mobile gallery app, bought by AVG Technologies

Digital image organizer MyRoll, founded as Flayvr, is the developer of MyRoll and Gallery Doctor. AVG Technologies has acquired Israeli digital image organizer and gallery developer MyRoll , formerly Flayvr. No financial details about the acquisition were disclosed but media reports say that it was for about $5 million. Flayvr was founded in 2012 by CEO Ron Levy and CTO Adi Ashkenazi - both veterans of the IDF 8200 Intelligence unit. The company raised $2.5 million. RELATED ARTICLES

Flayvr's product MyRoll organizes photographs and video clips using textual and behavioral analysis to determine the images most important to users. The company has also developed Gallery Doctor, which takes out bad images from galleries. AVG acquires Israeli co MyRoll

Israeli photo-management startup MyRoll has been acquired by AVG Technologies, the Czech company behind the popular security software of the same name. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The startup launched a new standalone app back in February called Gallery Doctor, which identifies all your bad or duplicate photos to help free up storage on your device. Available only for Android at first, it finally landed on iOS this summer . Now MyRoll will be joining AVG’s new Mobile Center of Excellence, which opened in June , which means the MyRoll folks won’t have too far to travel, as AVG’s new facility also happens to be based in Tel Aviv. Both the MyRoll and Gallery Doctor apps will continue as they are for the time-being, though the company says it will be integrating its technology into AVG products “in the near future.” Reading between the lines here, this likely means that the standalone apps will be shuttered. VentureBeat actually predicted back in February that MyRoll was ripe for acquisition, and I said at the time:
“If I was a betting man, I’d perhaps put a few bucks on one of the tech titans coming along and buying MyRoll outright … there’s definitely something in the air in Israel, and it wouldn’t surprise me at all if a big name came callin’ at MyRoll’s door.”
Indeed, there most certainly is something in the air in Israel. Earlier this week, Microsoft confirmed it had acquired cyber security firm Secure Islands , representing Microsoft’s fifth Israeli acquisition of the year. Looking further back, other notable Israeli acquisitions include  Waze by Google , Onavo by Facebook , CloudOn by Dropbox , and SlickLogin by Google . It may seem like an odd acquisition by AVG, a brand synonymous with desktop and mobile security apps. But the company already offers a range of related services, including AVG Cleaner for Android and Mac which helps clean up the memory on your devices to free up space. So MyRoll’s smart algorithm-based technology, as you’ll find in Gallery Doctor , will actually fit in rather well at AVG. Trending Research
