Hart wins Thames Valley dealmaking award

16 Sep 2022 South East Deals Wendy Hart of HMT has been named Corporate Finance Adviser of the Year at the 2022 Insider Thames Valley Dealmakers Awards. Last night's event honoured the standout deals in the region over the past 12 months, and recognised the wealth of talent across the corporate finance and dealmaking community. It was held at the Royal Berkshire Conference Centre in Reading and compered by comedy star Rob Brydon. The sponsors were Freeths , Gardner Leader, G.I.L Investments Limited, Headpoint Advisors, ThinCats and Independent Growth Finance . Funder of the Year Winner: Lloyds Banking Group Lloyds Bank was praised for its robust entry that demonstrated its expertise in complex financial transactions. The judges also noted a genuine focus on environmental issues with the provision of sustainability-linked finance. The judges were impressed by the breadth and scope of this team's work. Highly Commended: Wilson Partners Corporate Finance Shortlisted: Winner: HCR Law In an extremely strong line-up, HCR Law's message of "resolving the issues that other lawyers couldn't" resonated with the judges. Shortlisted: Winner: Ed Minton, WestBridge Ed was instrumental in leading one of the standout deals in the region this year, and was commended by the judges for not only executing the deal but also winning the mandate and delivering on it.
