MBRIF members named winners of the 2021 GITEX Future Stars’ Supernova Challenge

The Mohammed Bin Rashid Innovation Fund (MBRIF), an initiative launched by the UAE Ministry of Finance to support innovation in the UAE, today announced that two of its members; Farmin and Kanari AI were crowned winners of the 2021 GITEX Future Stars’ Supernova Challenge. Farmin, an Artificial Intelligence-powered platform that delivers critical insight for smart cities, won the award for the Best Emirati. Meanwhile, Kanari AI was named the Best AI innovator for its cutting-edge Arabic speech and voice technology solutions. The winners were announced by an expert panel after 3 rounds of pitching, with the final taking place on-ground at Gitex Future Stars, Dubai World Trade Centre on 20th October 2021. Speaking of the wins, Fatima Al Naqbi, Chief Innovation Officer at the Ministry of Finance said: “We are incredibly proud of Farmin and Kanari AI for winning the GITEX Supernova Challenge. Both innovators have developed incredible technology and have demonstrated their winning talent and dynamism during the course of this competition. The project will start operations by fall 2020 in Coke County, about 250 miles southwest of Dallas. Aviator Wind will be operated by CMS Enterprises, a subsidiary of CMS Energy that develops, owns and operates utility-scale renewable energy facilities, including wind and solar. "Through Aviator Wind, we're proud to continue the drive toward sustainable energy and help two of the nation's largest organizations meet their aggressive renewables goals," said Richard Mukhtar, president of CMS Enterprises. Calgary, Alberta--(Newsfile Corp. - July 28, 2020) -  Bengal Energy Ltd. (TSX: BNG) ("Bengal" or the "Company") is pleased to announce it has agreed the terms of a Farmin Agreement with Santos QNT Pty Ltd. ("Santos") covering a portion of Bengal's ATP 934 oil and gas exploration tenement in south western Queensland. Under the terms of the Farmin Agreement, Santos will pay 100% of the well costs of a one well work program with an estimated cost of AUS$ 2.7 million. Bengal's ATP 934 exploration project and development PLs area covers approximately 1,729 square kilometres (427,000 acres) as shown in Figure 1 below. Under the Farmin Agreement, Santos has the right to earn a 60% interest in approximately 420 square kilometres in the southern portion of the ATP 934 tenement (the "Farmin Lands"), offsetting recent successful Santos operated exploration wells. The remainder of Bengal's ATP 934 exploration and development portfolio is not subject to, or affected by, this Farmin Agreement. Bengal intends to continue its own exploration campaign on the remaining area having successfully commuted its commitments into the next term of ATP 934 through a special amendment approved by the regulators. Under the terms of the Farmin Agreement, Santos will be named operator of the Farmin Lands. Drill timing is subject to surface access and rig availability but is expected in calendar Q3/4 2021.
