Mark Goldman

Mark is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Happs, the world’s largest virtual creator house where digital creators come every day to connect, collaborate, learn and grow their business together. Mark began his industry career at Universal Television where he spent five years as a senior business development executive negotiating license and venture agreements, and developing television channels in Asia, Australia, Eastern Europe, and Latin America. In 1995 he was recruited by News Corp. to build its first digital satellite TV service in Latin America. As President and Chief Operating Officer of Sky Latin America, he oversaw the establishment of local operating companies throughout the region, the development of pan-regional programming and marketing strategies, the construction of a state-of-the-art digital broadcast facility, and over $700 million of financing transactions. The company merged with DirecTV Latin America to become the biggest satellite TV service in the region. In 2003 he joined former U.S. Vice President Al Gore, and entrepreneur Joel Hyatt, to form Current TV. As the founding Chief Operating Officer, he was responsible for setting the media strategy as well as overseeing distribution, ad sales, technical operations, legal and business affairs, and finance. He played an integral role in building the company into a profitable entity with a TV network reaching 60 million homes in three countries, and a leading social news website. In 2013 the company was sold to Al Jazeera for $500 million. He subsequently served as Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of ZypTV, a leading provider of programmatic advertising capabilities for local media companies. In 2021 the company was acquired by Sinclair Broadcasting. In addition to Happs, Mark serves as the Chairman of Podium Audio, a top ten audiobooks company.
