ValleyStar Credit Union You are here: ValleyStar CU, Entrust Financial CU Finalize Merger Martinsville, Virginia (July 2019) – ValleyStar Credit Union officially welcomed Richmond-based Entrust Financial Credit Union into the family on June 30, 2019. This merger is the result of a year-long process that involved much effort and collaboration from both credit unions to bring the organizations together. As a result, ValleyStar surpasses $500 million in assets and 53,000 members, as well as expands their field of membership to encompass 44 counties and cities in Virginia and North Carolina. Entrust Financial’s existing branch at 1801 Dabney Road in Richmond will remain open and continue to operate as a full-service branch facility. “This is a great moment in the history of ValleyStar,” said Delbert Lee Morgan, President/CEO of ValleyStar Credit Union. “We are proud to call Entrust members ‘family’ and look forward to serving them amongst the best financial products and services available. It took much effort, but the rewards are remarkable.” ValleyStar’s Board of Directors and senior management team joined Cheri Spence, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Entrust Financial Credit Union, for an official signing of the merger that took place on July 25, 2019 at the historic Credit Union House of Virginia in downtown Richmond. “We are excited to finalize this merger and allow Entrust Financial members from all over the world to benefit from the many new products and services that are now available to them,” stated Lisa Lambrecht, SVP/CFO of ValleyStar Credit Union and former President/CEO of Entrust Financial Credit Union.
