May 21, 2018 Precision Camshafts is acquiring 51 per cent stake in Dutch firm EMOSS while Inditrade Capital and NIIT China are selling stakes in their units. Also, ImpactGuru and FreightBazaar have raised funds. Precision Camshafts acquires 51% stake in Dutch firm EMOSS Precision Camshafts has acquired 51 per cent stake in EMOSS Mobile Systems Netherlands (Emoss) for Rs 58 crore ($8.5 million). EMOSS designs, develops, produces and supplies complete electric powertrains for trucks, buses,military vehicles and heavy equipment. According to an official statement, the acquisition will help pave the way for the company to mature electrical mobility markets such as Europe, North America and Australia. Inditrade Capital to sell equity brokerage business to Choice Equity Brokerage firm Inditrade Capital Ltd is selling its equity broking business to Mumbai-based Choice Equity Broking Pvt. Ltd for Rs 32 crore ($4.7 million) The deal, subject to statutory and regulatory approvals, will be done on a slump sale basis. “The acquisition of Broking Business of Inditrade Capital Limited brings over its 12 lakh client base into  Choice Equity Broking Private Limited and additionally brings in its robust network of 27 branches and 440 franchises & business associates along with 313 employees,” Choice Equity said in a filing to the stock exchanges. NIIT China unit to sell stake in JV NIIT China (Shanghai) Ltd, the Chinese subsidiary of NIIT Ltd, is selling its entire stake in its joint venture Wuxi NIIT Information Technology Consulting Ltd to its JV partner for 3.75 million Chinese yuan (around $588,000). According to an official statement, Wuxi An Ai Ai Di Education and Training Co. Ltd (Wuxi) will hold a 100 per cent stake in Wuxi NIIT after acquiring NIIT China’s 60 per cent stake. The Noida-based firm said, the move was in line with its focus on education centre consolidation and delivery. Crowdfunding platform ImpactGuru raises $2m Series A round Crowdfunding platform has $2 million in its Series A round of investment co-led by Apollo Hospitals Group and Venture Catalysts, according to a Times of India report. Existing backer RB Investments also participated in the round along with Currae Healthtech Fund and various family offices and Indian diaspora from US, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East. was incubated at Harvard Innovation Lab in 2014. In 2016, ImpactGuru had secured a seed investment of $500,000 from Singapore-based venture capita firm RB Investments and private investment platform Fundnel. FreightBazaar secures pre-Series A round led by Omphalos Ventures FreightBazaar, a B2B freight collaboration platform, has raised undisclosed amount in Pre-Series A investment round led by Omphalos Ventures India. The funding was facilitated through ah! Ventures. FreightBazaar platform enables shippers and truck suppliers to manage the end-to-end transportation process including truck sourcing, freight rates negotiations, delivery tracking, payment and documentation.
