DMS was acquired in early October 2014. DMS is known as the innovator of the Awareness series of security monitors. Awareness monitors were designed and built to make passengers more aware of the presence of advanced surveillance. For instance, by placing a monitor to display live feed from a strategically positioned camera, passengers can view themselves entering a bus or train. With knowledge of video security, criminal activity is more likely to be deterred. Awareness monitors are currently being used in Baltimore and Los Angeles and are being installed on new buses manufactured by New Flyer. “Mass transit ridership continues to grow, and that growth demands more robust and comprehensive safety solutions.
