GateHouse’s Mass. media empire just got significantly larger now that the company will run the Cape Cod Times and The Standard-Times of New Bedford. News Corp. has sold its Dow Jones Local Media Group to an affiliate of Fortress Investment Group, GateHouse’s majority owner. Fairport, N.Y.-based GateHouse will manage the Local Media Group papers on Fortress’ behalf.
