ATLANTA, Ga. – Atlanta-based Arrow Exterminators announced the promotion of Mark Cassell to vice president of sales. “Our vision is to provide an awesome experience in every interaction while maintaining our incredibly unique family culture,” said Tim Pollard, president and chief operating officer, Arrow Exterminators. “The value of promoting leaders from within the organization who understand our business and our unique family culture at all levels cannot be overstated.” Cassell has worked in the pest control industry for over 26 years and joined Arrow Exterminators in 2001. Prior to his new role, he held many positions in the company, including termite service professional, home evaluator and, most recently, region vice president of Northeast Atlanta, Ga. During his career at Arrow, Cassell was awarded the inaugural Rookie Service Center Manager of the Year Award in 2012, the Starkey Thomas Manager of the Year Award in 2014, and was also named one of the very first senior service center managers. “At Arrow, we are passionate about beneficial growth, and that includes the internal growth of our team members," said Ken Stieren, senior vice president of sales, Arrow Exterminators. “Mark’s 21 years of sales and service will prove invaluable as vice president of sales. His impressive accomplishments, along with his people and sales skills, are a dynamic duo.” Outside of work, Cassell can be found spending time with his wife of 21 years, Samantha, and his children Kaleigh, Colin and Caden. The entire family loves spending time outdoors and taking trips to new places. He is also very active in his church where he leads a youth group for middle school boys. Pest control, golf, and landscape professionals are innovators by nature, demonstrating ingenuity and creativity every day to keep the pest control industry running. In celebration of this work ethic – and the American spirit, Amguard Environmental Technologie s has launched its American Innovators recognition program. Throughout 2022, Amguard is inviting pest control, golf and landscape professionals to nominate a peer by visiting amvac.com/american-innovators . Nominators can explain in 300 words or fewer and with up to two photos how their nominee demonstrates innovation in the industry in one of two categories: product use and application technique or marketing and business management. “The American Innovators program is our way of recognizing industry professionals who push for excellence in all that they do,” says Shayne M. Wetherall, CEO, AMGUARD Environmental Technologies. “When we celebrate each other’s progress – our daily successes – we collectively inspire new breakthroughs. As a company that prides itself on offering innovative  American-made technologies, it’s an honor to recognize those who embody the American spirit.” Nominations are now open, and industry professionals can nominate a peer through June 30, 2022. A selection committee comprised of industry leaders, influencers and peers will review nominations and select winners. The first two American Innovators winners will be announced at PestWorld 2022 in Boston, Mass. Each winner will be awarded their own symbol of American ingenuity and craftmanship – an extra-large, Legacy Series wooden American “Flag of Valor,” handcrafted by American veterans. Amguard not only celebrates American innovation, it also recognizes American service. The company sponsors Project EverGreen’s GreenCare for Troops program, which mobilizes complimentary pest, lawn and landscape services for military families through its network of volunteers. Amguard presented a $20,000 check to the organization in February to kick off its program. Cindy Code, executive director, Project EverGreen, says the time is right for the collaboration – and the American Innovators recognition. “Military families face many challenges when a loved one is deployed, and more than ever, they appreciate having a pest-free home and healthy green spaces where they can relax, reflect and let their children play,” she says. “Pest control industry professionals are creative and enthusiastic, so it’s no surprise to see them stepping up with great energy to support these families. They’re often humble by nature, but it’s time to shine a spotlight on them and thank them for their hard work and willingness to give back.” Amguard will share American Innovators updates throughout the year on its web site and at other live industry events.
