The DesertMicro acquisition follows the news that AMCS successfully closed yet another round of investment from Ireland Strategic Investment Fund (ISIF) and Insight Venture Partners. AMCS acquired Brady Recycling solutions from Brady PLC in January 2018 and has completed eight other key acquisitions across the globe in recent years, as it endeavors to fortify its position in the software and technology market for the waste and recycling industry. The acquisition of DesertMicro will add more than 250 customers from across Canada and the US to AMCS' current list of customers, which presently includes 1,600 global names. Furthermore, the company's solution portfolio will be further strengthened by DesertMicro’s range of cloud software especially aimed at the waste and recycling industry, which includes an extremely developed and fully-embedded payment channel. Jimmy Martin, Chief Executive Officer, AMCS, said , “The waste and recycling industry is going through a massive transition. Companies are re-positioning themselves in the growing, more circular economy. These organizations also have an increasing appetite to digitalize their business and automate business processes. It requires software companies like AMCS, with a certain scale, to be able to make the investments needed to support this transformation. With the addition of DesertMicro to AMCS, we have the opportunity to further strengthen our global footprint, expand our product portfolio and continue to invest in our state-of-the-art AMCS Platform.” Headquartered in Ireland, AMCS delivers integrated software and vehicle technology for the waste, recycling and resource industries. Its platform, underpinned by global market trends, helps drive automation and delivers end-to-end standardization and optimization of business processes. The company has offices located across USA, Europe, and Australasia and employs roughly 400 individuals and serves more than 1500 customers across the globe. Tags
