A regional commercial property consultant has launched his own niche agency. Richard Heslop, formerly the head of Dale Eddison’s commercial property arm, has founded DE Commercial. The move follows the sale of Dale Eddison’s residential sales and lettings business to Linley & Simpson. DE Commercial will continue to be based at their existing offices in Brook Street, Ilkley. Richard, who has more than 25 years of experience of the commercial property market,explained: “The break with Dale Eddison was entirely amicable. Linley & Simpson’sstrength and focus is residential property, so it made perfect sense to launch DE Commercial as a stand-alone commercial property agency. “This is a wonderful opportunity for us to consolidate and enhance our position as one of West Yorkshire’s premier independent commercial property consultancies. “Our prime focus is on Airedale and Wharfedale, but we have worked on successful developments across the North of England. “Working with both landowners and developers, we devise a real estate strategy and offer up-to-date market data and analysis to ensure site values are enhanced and maximised and our client objectives are met. “With an in-depth knowledge of the market, combined with our links to business and business organisations, we are perfectly placed to deliver the best property solutions on behalf of our clients at every stage of the commercial property transaction process.” Recent major successful developments in which Richard Heslop has been involvedinclude the 150,000 sq ft Baildon Business Park, where record sales values for the region were achieved on the commercial buildings; Whiteley Court Business Park in Pool-in-Wharfedale; and a 15-acre former steelworks site in Co. Durham, sold on to developers for residential development. DE Commercial is also currently marketing the stunning Craven College Campus building in Skipton’s High Street on behalf of the college.
