Dr Reddy’s Labs to buy Imperial Credit Hyderabad-based pharma major Dr Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd is buying non-banking financial company Imperial Credit Pvt Ltd for Rs 36 crore ($5.2 million), according to an FIPB statement. Kolkata-based Imperial Credit was incorporated in 1991, and is led by Onkar Kakar, Myna Kakar, and Man Mohan Kakar. Last month, Dr Reddy’s Labs entered into a deal with Gland Pharma to market its products in the US. The company runs three businesses including pharmaceutical services & active ingredients, global generics and proprietary products. Noida-based Crossahead raises funding Crossahead, a social networking-based discovery platform for artists, has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from Indian cricketer Mohit Sharma. Crossahead was founded by Vishvendra Chaudhary and Gaurav Walia in July 2015. This is a web-based social networking platform where potential customers can interact with professional artists based on their geographical location and requirements. “Crossahead is creating an ecosystem wherein job opportunities for artists are generated and bridging the gap that prevails in between the artists and the common people – whether it’s the problem of artists not receiving due recognition amidst the masses, or the trouble and hassle people face while looking for professional artists to help them with their creative requirements,” said Chaudhary.
