June 13, 2012 / CPA2Biz, the technology subsidiary of the American Institute of CPAs, is launching a new conference for firms that want to maximize growth with innovative services delivered through the cloud. The Digital CPA Cloud User Conference will be held Oct. 28-30, 2012, at the Gaylord National Hotel and Convention Center in Washington, DC. The event will offer hands-on training, as well as a discussion of firm technology trends and practice development tools. Featured speakers will include Geoffrey Moore, the technology business strategist and author of “Crossing the Chasm,” noted commentator George F. Will, and executives from CPA2Biz’s strategic business solutions partners. “Cloud and mobile technologies are transforming the way firms and businesses operate today,” said Erik Asgeirsson , president and CEO of CPA2Biz. “At our user conference, you’ll learn how to harness these tools to create new business opportunities, reinforce client relationships and grow your client accounting services practice.” XCM Solutions, the workflow management firm, is folding its annual users conference into the CPA2Biz event. “XCM is thrilled to be part of Digital CPA, and we think our customers will benefit from its focused, all-in-one approach,” said Mark Albrecht , CPA, MST, XCM’ Solutions’ founder and CEO. “Workflow is one of the key drivers of building a state-of-the-art firm.
