Frontier Capital, which invests in software and technology-enabled business services companies, first invested in Conclusive Analytics in 2006. Since then, the equity firm has worked closely with Conclusive to secure strategic clients and help develop the company’s managed analytics platform. “Our goal when we invest in high-growth companies such as Conclusive is to help guide them through periods of rapid growth and value creation so they are ready for a merger such as this,” Joel Lanik , Frontier Capital partner, said. Lanik told the Charlotte Business Journal that Conclusive’s revenue has grown 30 percent over the last two years. The acquisition brings Marketing Associates’ employee count to 350. The 50-plus employees in Conclusive Analytics’ Charlotte office will keep their jobs, and Marketing Associates plans to add resources and manpower to the Charlotte office down the road. "We found a good outcome for ourselves and the company," Lanik said. The sale comes after Frontier Capital , which will move to uptown Charlotte from the Metropolitan development in midtown in September, announced its first investment from a new $390 million fund earlier this month.
