Competitor Group (CGI) is an active lifestyle resource dedicated to promoting the sports of running, cycling and triathlon. CGI owns and operates events around the world, including the Rock 'n' Roll Marathon Series, TriRock Triathlon Series and Columbia Muddy Buddy Series. CGI publishes magazine titles including Velo, Inside Triathlon, Triathlete and Competitor. In addition, the company hosts a captive lifestyle community online at competitor.com.Competitor Group was created in January 2008 through the acquisition of Elite Racing, Triathlete and Competitor Publishing by Falconhead Capital. In December 2012, Competitor Group was acquired by Calera Capital from Falconhead Capital. The valuation of Competitor Group was undisclosed. Other terms of the deal were not released.
