Dragon Ball FighterZ is, without any shadow of a doubt, one of the best pound-for-pound fighters on PlayStation platforms. However, hardcore fans playing on the PS4 always hoped rollback netcode would make the cut. While nothing has been announced for last-gen versions, Bandai Namco is plotting a PS5 re-release with a free upgrade – and it’ll feature the all-important lag-reducing online multiplayer tech. While there’s no release date attached to that version just yet, it does sound like it’s getting closer, as the publisher is launching a public beta test for the PC version of the game from 30th November through 11th December. If you own the release on Steam, you’ll be able to test out the new netcode free of charge throughout the aforementioned dates. Presumably this will be a final test before the PS5 version launches and rollback netcode is finally introduced to PlayStation players. We expect a release date to be announced early in the New Year.
