Korean-based Doosan Corp. acquired the assets of ClearEdge and subsequently hired an auction team to dispose of its laboratory, testing, machine shop and other equipment that cost an estimated $30 million when new. Bidding in the online-only sale of the facility’s assets — which also includes office furnishings, networking, computer, and audio/visual equipment—will open Sept. 2 online , and will close in rapid succession, live auction style, at 10:30 a.m. Sept. 9. The assets will be available for inspection from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 8, at the company’s facility, 7205 N.W. The auction is being conducted by Tiger Group’s Remarketing Services Division, Hackman Capital and CA Global Partners. A description of the auction and items is available online. Doosan acquired ClearEdge in July and subsequently launched Doosan Fuel Cell Inc. with headquarters in Connecticut. ClearEdge Power formed in Hillsboro but moved its headquarters to Sunnyvale, California in 2013.
