Tweet Asian private equity firm ShawKwei & Partners says it has merged two portfolio companies in Singapore to create a pan-Asia precision parts and product manufacturing business with 14 factories and US$250 million in group sales turnover, says a company announcement. Beyonics Pte Ltd. and Chosen Holdings Ltd. are both 100% owned by ShawKwei & Partners through its third Asian private equity fund, which closed in 2011. Beyonics was privatized and delisted from the Singapore Stock Exchange in February 2012 by ShawKwei in a US$115 million buyout. ShawKwei then followed with the US$51 million privatization and delisting of Chosen from the Singapore Stock Exchange in December 2015. The merger of the pair, both founded in Singapore, will create one Singapore-headquartered company with presence across Singapore, China, Malaysia and Thailand. The new company, with a combined staff of 4,800, provides precision metal stamping, mold design and fabrication capabilities, precision plastic injection molding and aluminum die casting and machining. Founded in 1999, ShawKwei & Partners is a private equity fund manager with offices in Hong Kong and Singapore, focused on mid-market manufacturing, industrial, and service companies operating across Asia.
